Our History
Timbershades have been serving the Sydney community since the early 1980’s. Initially we focused on becoming a specialist in timber window furnishing products. Over the years we have grown our offering to now include a vast array of both internal and external timber, composite and fabric furnishings.
Located in Sydney, we pride ourselves on our products knowledge, our detailed installations and the supply of both Australian Made and imported products which meet our high standards.
We originally partnered with Just Blinds & Shutters which was founded in 1982, by an Australian father and son who manufactured timber blinds. In the later years, as the price of Australian made shutters became too expensive, we began to import our shutters from Norman, who have over 30 years of unwavering passion for quality and innovation. Normans Plantation Shutter Range is world class, and in dealing with them for over 20 years, they have less than a 1% failure rate. Guided by the values of Toyota Production Systems, Norman strives to continually enhance and improve the reliability and features of all their product offerings.
